Umi Amanuma (born in Tokyo, Japan, 1977) had her first experience with the practice of pottery in high school in Tokyo and was deeply impressed. After graduation and after a personal research trip first to Japan and then to Italy, she moved to Florence in 1999 where she attended various ceramic courses and graduated from the school of Montelupo Fiorentino (FI). Her professional practice began in 2001 and she started her own workshop since 2003. Since then she has exhibited her works mainly in national ceramics festivals and fairs and in Europe, as well as numerous group and solo exhibitions such as at Konnubio, Florence (2019), La Tettoia, Fiesole (2022) and Nobana Art Work in Ginza, Tokyo (2024)

 

 

Umi Amanuma (nata a Tokyo, Giappone, 1977) ha avuto la prima esperienza con la pratica della ceramica al liceo a Tokyo ed è rimasta profondamente colpita. Dopo il diploma e dopo un viaggio di ricerca personale prima in Giappone e poi in Italia, si è trasferita a Firenze nel 1999 dove ha frequentato vari corsi di ceramica e ha conseguito il diploma presso la scuola di Montelupo Fiorentino (FI). La sua pratica professionale ha inizio nel 2001 e ha avviato il suo proprio laboratorio dal 2003. Da allora ha esposto le sue opere principalmente in festival e fiere della ceramica nazionale e in Europa, oltre a numerose mostre collettive e personali come a Konnubio, Firenze (2019), a La Tettoia, Fiesole (2022) e a Nobana Art Work in Ginza, Tokyo (2024)

 

 

天沼海(1977年東京生まれ)

東京の高校で初めて陶芸を体験し、感銘を受ける。卒業後、日本国内そしてイタリアへ窯元を巡る旅をする。1999年フィレンツェに移住。さまざまな陶芸コースを経験し、伝統的に陶芸が盛んなモンテルーポ・フィオレンティーノの陶芸学校を卒業する。
陶芸家としての活動を2001年に開始、2003年からフィレンツェ近郊に自分の工房を開き、創作活動を行う。それ以来、主にイタリア国内やヨーロッパの陶芸フェスティバル、フェア等への参加・作品展示を継続、多数のグループ展や個展に出展している。
